I was part of a group of buyers, financial executives and production people who were invited to visit the head offices of a company that we have been looking at for some time, and were seriously considering placing a considerable contract for machined parts that they were offering. We went along fairly certain that what they had to offer suited us. We were very pleased with the layout of their factory, and it seemed very clean and well organized, which is an important criterion for us. However when we were invited to their boardroom to hear their presentation, we could not fail to be even more impressed. In actual fact we were given three separate very effective corporate presentations, one each from a member of their production, financial and marketing team and a short summing up from the company’s CEO. We could detect how serious this company was, and how much they wanted to do business with us, through the effort they had put into make this presentation. So all we had to say in response was “Where do we sign?”
