Crafty Kid Creations for Hanukkah

Letting your kids’ help you decorate for Hanukkah is a fantastic way to get them involved in learning about this traditional Jewish holiday and will help you make your house beautiful while having a lot of fun doing it!  Many craft stores and craft magazines have several sections of hanukkah celebration crafts for your kids to do.  Foam rubber menorah’s and plain dreidels you can paint yourself is a fun place to start.  Also, instead of traditional white snowflakes more familiar with the Christmas holiday, have your children cut out the Jewish version of snowflakes; stars of David.  You can use several shades of blue and white paper to cut out the stars of David.  When you are done, add some pretty glitter to it and hang them from the ceiling.  They will be a terrific addition to your Hanukkah celebration and your kids will feel great knowing that they helped you out!
