Three ways to Cover a Trailer RV
February 24th, 2008
Manufacturers of aftermarket trailer rv covers use there terms to describe the products they supply. Retailers need to understand the differences implied by these terms:
* Universal fit covers are designed to fit almost any trailer RV up to a specified length. Excellent for keeping dirt out of trailer RVs stored indoors. Not usually suitable for trailer RVing because they whip in the wind. Least expensive type.
* Semi-custom fit covers are intended to fit trailer RVs of specified hull lengths and types, e.g., bowrider, bass trailer RV, etc. Can fit well enough to withstand the wind of trailer RVing. The mid-range price product.* Custom fit covers are sewn using patterns taken from specific models of trailer RVs. Available for nearly all trailer RVable models from major trailer RV-builders. Most expensive of the packaged cover products. In the packaged trailer RV cover industry, the term "one-of-a-kind" is usually applied to covers made from scratch by canvas shops.
