The Role of Incorporators
November 16th, 2007
Incorporators play a major role in forming a corporation being the organizers of the business. You act as one of the signatories of the articles of incorporation requesting your government to approve the existence of your corporation and church articles of incorporation. The incorporators have the power to name the first board of directors of your corporation. This is done during the first official meeting as incorporators, after the government has duly approved your request. However in some localities, their corporate law requires the initial board of directors be named in the filing of the articles of incorporation.
