Health And Safety Signs fall into one of six categories: prohibition (black symbol on a white background inside a red circle with a red diagonal line across the circle)., warning (black symbol on a yellow background inside a black triangle), mandatory (white symbol on a blue circular background), emergency escapes (white symbol on a green square or rectangular background), fire-fighting (white symbol on a red rectangular or square background,) obstacles or dangerous locations (alternating yellow and black stripes). The signs help in identifying hazards easily and becoming alert to the hazard ahead. They play a key role in warning.
