When my uncle had ranted and raved on the negligence of the local civic body, to the neighbors at a meeting, most of them had laughed. That was because he still has not learned the tricks of public speaking. Later that day I gave him a few Tips On Public Speaking. Firstly, he should speak with less of passion and more of logic. He should be more sympathetic towards their plight than rave about his own problems. A good speaker will always encourage the audience to participate in the conversation and not try to monopolize it himself. Modulation, tone, volume also play a vital role in gripping the listeners.
