Finding an agent is the initial stride in book publishing. Not necessarily a very important step, however eventually in the future it can be extremely helpful. Interestingly, most of the companies may not even take a look at a book unless they come to know about the book through an agent. Book publishing may be extremely difficult if you have to do them yourself. Going through the right agent may be of great help in reaching the targeted readers. There are many ways of finding an agent, the Literary Market Place (LMP) can be one of them or even the local library. You can even get in touch with the publishing house or otherwise do an online search.
