We cannot afford to be splurging money away freely and need to bargain if possible for our purchases on the best deal possible. Everyone is tightening their belt and cutting down on traveling be it for holidays or for business and work. By choosing the best gas mileage vehicles, we can save money long term. The reason is simple. We can cut down on gasoline consumption by using lighter and smaller cars while driving around. The cost of petrol saved means more savings in our bank accounts. When we have more money in our banks, we can retire with the assurance of having enough to last a lifetime. All this is possible by choosing the right gas mileage vehicles.

One of the best gas mileage improvement devices would have to be the motorists’ boycott. It’s simple. Motorists reduce their driving. Gas stations sell much less fuel. There is a stockpile of oil. Manufacturers drop their prices to create demand and gas prices are suddenly much lower. Sounds silly but is not as crazy as some of the gas mileage improvement devices on the market today. But not all are bad for your engine and some even work in reducing your fuel costs. Whatever device you use in your car, think carefully before hand. The cost of converting your car to use the device might outweigh the benefit it brings. There are cheaper alternatives like driving responsibly and keeping your car in good condition.

Every year, the EPA or the Environmental Protection Agency assembles the Fuel Economy Guide. This gives car owners and prospective automobile purchasers vital information about which vehicles are more efficient in terms of fuel economy as well as gas mileage. Fuel mileage comparisons are essential, especially before you decide to buy a vehicle, so that you have a rough idea about the different cars and the fuel mileage they give. A fuel mileage comparison will enable you to find a car that not only gives you better fuel mileage but also save big time on the monthly gas expenses as well as reduce the emissions at the same time.

Selling cars is obviously big business. How else do you explain the plethora of advertisements which bombard you every time you switch on the TV or are looking through magazines? Of course, all this publicity is necessary to educate the customer about the various properties of the vehicles advertised but, I do wish these companies would be a bit more circumspect when they brag about their mileage ratings. After careful studies I have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as the perfect mileage rating. If one vehicle is advertised as giving 28miles per gallon and the other as 29 miles per gallon, chances are that it is somewhere around 28-29 miles per gallon. This is the Average Gas Mileage. So, next time you buy a car based solely on its mileage ratings, remember that the mileage given is only the average mileage.

The full-size Chevrolet Tahoe introduced in 1995 is a true American SUV. The Tahoe Hybrid offering a notable 50 percent progress in city gas mileage ratings over the standard models might just mark the first light of a new era.
It isn’t just about bolting in an electric motor and a bank of batteries. Chevy pausing the Tahoe hybrid’s suspension has made aerodynamic pinches to the hood and front end, and set some components on a diet to relieve the load on the two-mode hybrid system.
The expected Chevy gas mileage for the Tahoe Hybrid is 22 highway / 21 city in 2WD trim, and 20 highway / 20 city for the 4WD model.

A car will run the way you want it too. It is a machine and will deliver results according to the way you look after it. Car fuel efficiency can be increased many fold by just giving a little attention to certain vital needs of your car. Always check that your tires are inflated properly as deflated or less inflated tires bring down the car fuel efficiency. To keep your gas mileage high always get your cars serviced at regular intervals and see to it that it is well maintained. On high speed roads keep your windows close to improve the fuel efficiency. Always accelerate slowly as that is another main way to maintain your cars fuel efficiency.

I am a resident of Manhattan. I have a Lexus and I travel around quite a bit on business by car to places in and around Manhattan. My boss suggested I take up a NAPA car care warranty as this company is located all over the country and their service is excellent.I have taken up their policy which has been helping me tremendously. So far I have used their services two times. I would have been stranded but for my NAPA peace of mind warranty scheme.

When my father used to drive us to Maine on vacation, it took six hours before the Maine turnpike came into existence. That must have been a joy for my folks as my brother and I were the passengers and usually bored with the long drive. There are a few trips that stand out in my mind as the most eventful. On one trip my brother had a collapsible metal cup full of milk, and of course it collapsed and got milk all over my father’s new Homburg hat. Another time my brother had whooping cough, and since my father only had two weeks vacation, he went along and coughed and vomited the whole way.
There was a hamburger stand we always stopped at, and for hours previously we bugged my father for a “nice sizzly hamburger with french fries” which probably drove Dad out of his mind as he heard it so often. It was also very annoying to me that my brother feigned sleep rather than talk to me, so I was always complaining to my folks to make him stay awake. The joys of taking a trip with children!
