Alright, I’m sick of working at home. I’m going to go crazy if I stay boxed up here any longer. Time to get a wireless broadband laptop so I can work in cafes and actually be around other people.
I’d like to find the inventor of Wireless Laptop NetworkingWireless Laptop Service and thank them personally for changing my life for the better. Working from anywhere is so liberating. It makes running your own business so much more pleasant.
Of course knowing my luck mine will get stolen 3 days after I buy it, or I’ll spill coffee on it the day after the warranty runs out. But oh well. It will be worth it all the same.
More on this soon.

Alright, enough is enough. I have to invest in a wireless Internet notebook. I need to get out of this pit of an apartment.
Wireless Internet Cards For LaptopsSecure Wireless Laptop Connections must be the best thing since sliced bread. Don’t know how I ever got along before. The freedom to work just about anywhere - it’s intoxicating. Meeting a lot more people and getting a lot more sun. All to the good.
I think I might work in the park tomorrow - bring the dogs along. Ain’t it the life, though?
Until next time.

I was talking to a friend yesterday about Cat6 Cable.
I don’t have a ton of cash to spend on techs, so I’m going to have to run the cable myself.
Of course dealing with Cat 6 Plenum Wire isn’t all that tough. The crimping is the main issue.
I figure that it will be a good thing to know how to do down the line anyway.
I’ll keep you posted.

My shiny new wireless broadband laptop arrived today. I spent a lovely afternoon working at my local Starbucks. Yeah yeah, cliche I know, but it was so nice to get out of the house. I was beginning to look like the belly of a fish after all these days spent in my dungeon of an apartment.

Where to work tomorrow? Starbucks? The library? The park even? So many choices.
Until next time.

Imagine it - a web developer with a tan and a social life. Shocking.
Ok - that’s it for today.

I think I’ll head out to the local brew pub for work today. They have free wireless in the beer garden and good pub food. It may sound odd to work out of a pub, but the wisteria vines in the beer garden are so pleasant. It’s a great place to hang out.

I just bought a
wireless broadband notebook, and not a moment too soon. Now I can work in cafes and other such places with people and sunlight and no big piles of laundry and bills to remind me of all the other crap I need to get done. Working from home is seriously overrated.
Seriously, I can’t imagine why it took so long for Wireless Laptop NetworkingWireless Laptop Service to become popular. Working from anywhere - what’s not to like? It’s like having a new office every day. So much nicer than the depressing cube I used to be stuck in.

Working from home is great and all, but man do I get a nasty case of cabin fever sometimes. I’m thinking of investing in a
wireless laptop so I can get out and be around people more often. Maybe get a little sun and look a little less like gollum.

Wireless networks are wonderful things. But only when they work. I am into computers and have been since childhood. I am always getting phone calls from friends, family, (and sometimes people I haven't seen for years) asking if I can help them out with their computer issues. These range from all sorts of things but one of the most common ones is from those who are having problems setting up a wireless network. The trouble with wireless networking is that although there have been vast improvements it is still a little unstable. Your network may be working fine one minute and then not working at all the next. There is usually a fairly simple solution but not always user friendly. However, the best place to start (assuming your router settings are all correct) is with your firewall. This is the number one cause of head-aches when it comes to setting up a wireless network.
