Anorexia is an eating disorder that in most of the cases is unfortunately caused intentionally. These days a new aspect of anorexia has emerged, which is known as Pro anorexia. It involves the promotion of anorexia as a fashionable lifestyle.
This promotion is being done by various websites that claim to offer tips, advice and support to help people deal with maintaining an anorexic lifestyle. These websites do not reveal the dangerous side effects of this disorder.
There are also some online communities that have members who share techniques of crash dieting and ways to compete with each other to lose weight.
Pro anorexia has resulted in the younger generation thinking of anorexia as a fashion rather than problem.

What a horrible situation to be in. She’s just going to have to get medication for her binge eating disorder. I hope she’ll listen to reason.

By now, you will appreciate that it's all too easy to develop problem fears, phobias and anxieties. So ifs no surprise to learn that nearly all of us, at some time, will go through a bad patch and find that our levels of fear and anxiety are raised to the point where they cause difficulties. In many cases, this is a temporary dilemma, but the difficulties sometimes persist and a person needs help in reversing the changes.
If you seek help with stress-related problems, you might find your difficulties being labeled or diagnosed by professionals. This is simply the way in which emotional or psychological problems are classified; these labels direct professionals towards treatment options as well as helping them to describe the signs of anxiety very succinctly.

One of the most disabling of medical conditions is depression because it is not a normal human condition; there is however, more than one kind of this condition, just to make the situation more complicated. The cause is often (but not always) about issues that have not been rectified; naturally almost anyone can become depressed about certain aspects of their life. People who are depressed require specialized medical help with their condition and should seek it at an early stage; it is also important to discover just what the cause of depression was in the fist place.
It is difficult going through life and not experiencing sadness or feeling low but these things normally pass in time; this is not an indication of a medical condition, just normal human behavior because depression is something else entirely.
Probably the most likely cause is stress, often owing to family or other relationship problems which for one reason or another cannot be readily solved; when these issues cannot be resolved and cause high levels of stress, it is not uncommon for this condition to follow.
Problems have a tendency to multiply when they are not corrected and this is very true with this particular condition; as a consequence sufferers make themselves ill with worry which may appear as a physical illness but will more than likely appear as a mental condition.
Often the problem stems from a situation in the workplace which is unresolved or ongoing; it is not uncommon for this condition to result in panic attacks, so outside help is often needed to end the situation. The situation can become so bad that some people are barely able to function either at home or at work; when they become so unhappy they cannot face even going to work a professional must intervene to end the mental conflict. There are times where a person has been prescribed medication for an illness, for example, and a side effect caused by the chemicals in the medication is depression; these can produce symptoms and feelings that almost identical to a person who has emotional issues.
In these circumstances the person's doctor should be made aware of any changes in mood so appropriate action can be taken. One of the biggest problems is where the symptoms of depression do not seem to have any cause that can be discovered; when they don't seem to have any cause that can be identified as the reason for the problem, medical staff will have to research the patient further.
Cases like this usually mean that the person does not recognize the cause of the problem themselves; if they cannot associate the cause with their condition then the way forward is made very hard.
One type of is called Manic Depression although the correct term is Bipolar Disorder; it can actually take up to five years to get the diagnosis correct! Whatever the cause, getting help is the most important thing but the sufferer should be willing to take up responsibility and get the necessary help. Just making that first move can make all the difference and enable the patient to feel as if they are making appositive move towards their treatment; if it is having a detrimental affect on your life then once something positive is done there will be a sense of relief which is the first step to becoming cured.

I need help. About 2 years ago, I began losing hearing in my right ear. I always had much wax build-up in winter, and so I thought it was just clogged. After thorough cleaning, I still could not hear well. Since I was still having so much trouble in hearing, the ENT advised for a CT scan. The results looked fine too. But, my hearing seems to be getting worse and worse. I'm less able to distinguish the pitches any more. Does anybody have any idea what's happening to me?
