November 16th, 2007

Because there are so many CAD software today, and because there are so many
companies doing CAD work on their projects, quality and consistency has become a
concern for many businesses and clients alike. This is the reason why CAD standards were created–so that drafts, designs, and data
between different individuals or teams using different cad cam software can be easily shared
without causing confusion. This increases productivity and efficiency.Since the inception of CAD software, many companies have tried to make their software
a standard when it comes to creating a design. This created confusion as to what
standards should be followed. It’s a good thing that when CAD standards were
implemented and CAD software soon followed.
