Obtaining A Dental Assistant’s License

April 11th, 2008

Different states in the US have different rules, which need to be fulfilled before you can be issued with a dental assistant's license. Hence, some states may require that you pass a written or practical exam while other states may specify that you might need to finish a state approved education course, which could be from 4 to 12 hours long. In some states, you might have to continue with your education in order to keep your licensure or registration. The duties, which can be performed under your dentist, will also vary from state to state. So, it might be a good idea for you to check your state laws before starting your dental assistant's job.
