Are Homeschool Courses Religious?

While it is a popular conception that all home schooled students come from backgrounds that are ultra religious, this is not always the case. More secular people are choosing to home school their children than ever before. Not all homeschool courses are religious. There are many different types of homeschool courses and most are secular by nature. The materials that you choose will determine the type of courses that you will be teaching your children. All must adhere to the state mandates for education. While some homeschool courses are religious in nature, most are classes that pertain to math, science, English, reading and social studies. These courses have little to do with religion, which is usually taught in addition to the other classes.
