Where Do The India Forex Reserves Come From

Being a developing economy, India's rate of savings is very low, even in comparison to other Asian countries like China. This is the reason that the country has to rely heavily on the extensive foreign exchange reserves in india. There are three main sources and several secondary sources from where the india forex reserves come. The three main sources include the foreign direct investment, investments that are made in the capital markets of India and external commercial borrowings which are taken for both long and short terms.
